My dog, Hershey, needs some serious science help! He is going to take a food chain quiz this weekend and he still does not understand how a food chain works. Would you please explain food chains to Hershey?

What Hershy needs to know is that the food chain starts with the sun,then producer,next is comsumer,then decomposer.Next the cycle stars over again.
Hey Hershy I heard you have a test this weekend about food chains.Here is some stuff you got to now first in a food chain comes the sun now comes the producer next is the herbivore then the carnivore now the top level carnivore and last but not least the decomposer.

A food chain is when the sun gives producers nutrients,then a herbivore eats the producer,then a consumer eats the herbivore,then the carnivore eats the consumer,then the omnivore eats the carnivore,then the omnivore dies and the decomposer eats it and brings nutrients into the soil and it starts all over agian.

producer then an herbavor will get energy from the plant by eating it.
Next a consumer will eat the herbavor and get the energy. Last a bigger consumer will eat the smaller consumer and get the

The sun pruduses energy to plants. Decomposer put nutreens into the soil. Consumers eat fruit, meet,and plants. Herbivors eat plants.Cornivores eat other animals. omnivores eat fruit, plants, and meet.
