Hershey wants to update his kennel with some new carpet.
His kennel is a rectangle and measures 9 feet in length and 6 feet in width.
Hershey wanted to find the square area of his kennel so he added up his sides and came up with 30 feet as his answer.
Is Hershey correct? Why or why not? Please explain your answer.
